Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the ACL.

1. LOUNGES & SOFAS

Fusion Furniture provides warranty coverage against manufacturing defects as follows:

  • Structural Frame: Five (5) years, covering defects in materials or workmanship affecting the internal frame structure.

  • Foam, Springs and Internal Components: One (1) to Three (3) years depending on the model, covering manufacturing defects only.

  • Fabric, Stitching and Upholstery: Twelve (12) months, covering manufacturing faults only.

  • Recliner Mechanisms and Electrical Components: Twelve (12) months against manufacturing defects.

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal household seating use only.

2. STRUCTURAL MISUSE & RECLINER EXCLUSIONS

Fusion Furniture products are designed strictly for normal seated use in a residential environment. They are not designed to withstand impact force, excessive weight loading or misuse.

Jumping and Impact Damage

Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Jumping on sofas or recliners;

  • Standing on seats, cushions or backrests;

  • Children bouncing on furniture;

  • Dropping body weight forcefully onto seating surfaces;

  • Any repeated impact loading.

Damage caused by impact force is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Armrest Misuse

Armrests are designed for arm support only and are not intended to support full body weight.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Sitting on armrests;

  • Leaning full body weight onto armrests;

  • Children climbing, standing or sitting on armrests;

  • Applying downward or side pressure causing frame stress.

Any structural movement, cracking, loosening or separation caused by weight-bearing on armrests will be classified as misuse.

Recliner Safety & Use Conditions

Recliners are engineered and weight-rated for one seated person at a time only.

Warranty will be void if any of the following occurs:

  • Two children sharing one recliner seat;

  • Two adults sitting on one recliner seat;

  • An adult seated with a child on their lap while the recliner is in operation;

  • Sitting or standing on the footrest;

  • Jumping from or onto the recliner;

  • Forcing the recliner mechanism beyond its designed motion;

  • Attempting to exit the recliner while it remains in an open or reclined position.

The recliner must be fully returned to its upright and closed position before the user attempts to stand up.

Damage caused by overloading, excessive force, twisting of the frame while reclined, or strain on mechanical components will not be treated as a manufacturing defect.

3. STITCHING & SEAM POLICY

Fusion Furniture covers genuine manufacturing defects in stitching that occur under normal seated residential use.

However, warranty does not cover stitching or seam damage caused by:

  • Excessive weight or overloading;

  • Sitting on armrests;

  • Jumping or impact;

  • Friction from repeated rubbing;

  • Pets clawing or scratching;

  • Use of harsh cleaning chemicals;

  • Natural stretching or tension over time;

  • Loose threads that do not affect structural integrity.

Fusion Furniture reserves the right to inspect seam tension and stress points to determine whether separation is caused by manufacturing fault or external force.

4. BEDS & BED FRAMES

Fusion Furniture provides a Twelve (12) month warranty covering manufacturing defects in the structural components of beds and bed frames.

This warranty applies only where the product has been assembled correctly in accordance with instructions and used under normal residential conditions.

5. MATTRESS

The mattress warranty is strictly conditional upon the following requirements being met at all times throughout the warranty period:

Suitable Support Base

The mattress must be used on a structurally sound, flat and supportive base that is appropriate for the specific mattress model.
Slats must be evenly spaced and not exceed manufacturer-recommended gaps.
Damage caused by inadequate support, sagging bases, broken slats, flexible platforms or improper bed frames is not covered.

Stain-Free and Hygienic Condition

The mattress must remain completely free from stains, spills, liquid penetration, bodily fluids, mould, mildew, odours or any form of contamination.
Any visible staining or unsanitary condition will immediately void the warranty, regardless of the nature of the claim.

Original Law Tag

The original law tag must remain attached, legible and untampered with.
Removal or damage to the law tag will void the warranty.

Residential Use Only

The mattress must be used strictly for normal residential sleeping purposes.
Use in commercial, rental, Airbnb, accommodation, display homes or any non-residential setting voids the warranty.

Proper Care and Rotation

The mattress must be rotated as recommended (where applicable) and maintained in accordance with Fusion Furniture care instructions.
Failure to rotate or maintain the mattress may result in uneven wear, which is not considered a manufacturing defect.

No Abuse or Misuse

The warranty does not apply where the mattress has been subjected to jumping, standing, excessive weight loading, bending, folding (unless specifically designed for that purpose), or improper handling during relocation.

Body Impressions & Settlement

Normal body impressions and foam settlement are expected over time and are not considered defects.
Indentations within acceptable industry tolerance (for example, less than 3 cm without weight applied) are not covered.

6. TABLES, DINING, TV UNITS, CHAIRS & CASEGOODS

Fusion Furniture provides a Twelve (12) month warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for dining tables, coffee tables, TV units, buffets, consoles, cabinets and similar casegoods.

  • Ring marks caused by liquids

  • Chemical damage from cleaning agents

  • Discolouration from sunlight exposure

  • Water damage or swelling of timber or MDF

  • Dropping heavy objects on the surface

  • Sitting or standing on tables

  • Children climbing on furniture

  • Dragging items across the tabletop

  • Excessive weight loading beyond intended purpose

Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Dragging furniture across flooring;

  • Pushing from the backrest;

  • Lifting from armrests;

  • Twisting modular sections;

  • Moving the product without proper lifting technique;
